NTSA Appoints George Njao New Director General

National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) has now appointed George Njao as the new Director General. He will be working on a three-year term.

In a statement, acting chairperson NTSA Board, Dr. Alice Chesire, gave the reason for his appointment being an interview process organized by the board after its inauguration in February, this year.

Chesire stated that Njao has more than 15 years work experience in the transport sector in specifically safety management.

This presents a great opportunity for the Authority, adding that he holds a Master’s degree and a Bachelor of Science Degree from the Central Missouri State University, USA

The former director,Francis Meja is said to have successfully completed his full term contract.

At the same time Chesire has further said the board has appointed Badu Katelo the Director, Road Safety.

Christopher Wanjau was appointed Director, Registration and Licensing while Shalakha Shem – was appointed Deputy Director, Supply Chain Management to boost the performance of the Authority.
