Suspect Arrested, Cannabis Worth Over Sh11 Million Seized.

Detectives from the Anti-Narcotics Unit (ANU) in the coast region have made a significant
breakthrough in the fight against drug trafficking. They detained a suspect and the stolen
Cannabis sativa valued at over Sh11 million.
The operation unfolded when a vehicle suspected of carrying illegal drugs was caught. The
driver fled into a nearby thicket, escaping capture. However, his accomplice, 32-year-old Elisha
Omondi, was arrested at the scene.
Omondi was taken to Mombasa Urban Police Station for processing, while the seized cannabis
was secured as evidence. Authorities are putting efforts to track down the escaped driver,
expressing confidence in catching him soon.
This operation highlights the ongoing efforts by law enforcement to combat drug trafficking in
the region. The ANU remains committed to tear down any drug networks and ensuring justice is
served.
