A NIGHT GUARD WAS FOUND DEAD IN A CLASSROOM IN
KIRINYAGA.

On a Monday morning students from Mburi Primary School found a dead body in the
classroom. The body was confirmed to be the night guard in that school. John Wachira was a
74-year-old man working as a night guard in that institution.
Reports indicate the guard might have been killed on Saturday night and the body was dumped
in the classroom.
The police have launched an investigation with the team from county headquarters to establish
who killed the guard. According to Gichugu police commander John Wachira, the unknown
assailant stole bananas from the school before vanishing.
The 74-year-old man has been taken to Kerogoya Hospital Mortuary for postmortem.
