Healthy Delicious Recipe by Shabneez Mohamed Jin
Ingredients
- Olive oil/Pure ghee (your choice)
- Ginger & Garlic paste 1 tbsp.
- Natural Yogurt/ ½ cup
- Cumin powder ½ tbsp. ground.
- Gara masala powder ½ tbsp.
- Salt
- Chilies julienned
- Ginger julienned
- Black pepper Roasted & crushed not powder
- Lemon juice 2-3 tbsp.
- Red capsicum
- Greens of green onion for garnishing 1 cup
- ½ chicken julienne cut
Method
1.Marinate your chicken with ½ cup of Yogurt. Natural Yogurt/ Maziwa Mala tenderizes and moistures the meat. Keep it for 15-20 minutes if you have the time, if not, cook it immediately.
2.Pour the oil around 1/3 cup on the cooking pot. Wait for the oil to heat well.
3.Add the chicken combined with the ginger and garlic paste 1 tbsp.
4.Wait for the chicken to turn from pink to white, then add the rest of the spices and wait for it to cook.
5.Add salt and stir and wait for your chicken to cook further. For about 6 minutes.
6.Add green chilies and the ginger julienne and stir gently for like ½ a minute.
7.Add your red pepper and lemon juice 3 tbsp.
8.Finally add the crushed black pepper.Benefits of black pepper; Magnesium, Calcium, Potassium, Vitamin A, C, B
For about 2 minutes your dish will be ready to be garnished and with a quick stir you’re ready to serve.
You can serve your dish with boiled mashed potatoes and sautéed vegetables.
DESERT; CURSTAD APPLE CREAM
Ingredients
- Custard apple 5-6 pcs deseed them and make a pulp.
- 1 cup of cream dairy
- 1/3 cup icing sugar/ normal sugar just grind it.
Method
- Put the Custard apple plump in a clean dish, add the cream and the icing sugar and mix everything.
The desert is best served chilled.
