Eight Candidates Shortlisted for Deputy Inspector General Positions.

The National Police Service Commission (NPSC) has announced the shortlist of candidates for
position roles of Deputy Inspector General of the Kenya Police Service (DIG-KPS) and Deputy
Inspector General of the Administration Police Service (DIG-APS). 38 candidates applied for the
roles, 21 Deputy inspector General, Kenya police service and 13 Deputy inspector General,
Administration police service.
NPSC Chief Executive Officer Peter Leley revealed the candidates for the DIG-KPS position as
George Adero Sedah, Eliud Kipkoech Lagat, Tom Mboya Odero, and Dr. Vincent Kinas
Makokha.
For the DIG-APS position, the shortlisted candidates are Gilbert Masengeli, Margaret Nyambura
Karanja, James Mukuha Kamau, and Dr. Masoud Mwinyi.
Interviews will be conducted on Monday, July 22, 2024, starting at 9:30 a.m. at the Kenya
School of Government, Lower Kabete Campus in Nairobi. Candidates for the DIG-KPS position
will be interviewed first, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. The interviews for the DIG-APS position
will follow from 2:00 p.m. to 4:15 p.m.
Meanwhile, members of the public have urged to submit any information relating to the
candidates through written memoranda to the commission chairperson online or Monday next
week.
