A white saloon car on, Sunday 29 September plunged into the Indian Ocean. Earlier reports say that the vehicle had four occupants among them an infant.
The car slipped from the Ferry into the deep waters of the Likoni passage.
The car was on-board the MV Harambee before it reversed, slid and plunged in the ocean midstream.
Likoni police boss Benjamin Rotich said that search and rescue operations are underway.
“Neither the car nor the occupants have been retrieved from the Indian ocean waters," Rotich said.
The Kenya Ferry Service (KFS) statement further noted that the cause of the accident is yet to be established.
